Step 1: New Student Checklist

Complete your New Student Checklist at: checklist.umn.edu

Do you know what your college needs from you?

Each college asks for specific information. Click on your college’s website on the right sidebar to find college-specific orientation information.

Ensure you complete the following steps

Confirm your orientation date and aim to attend the earlier sessions. The early bird gets the worm!

Take placement tests for mathematics, chemistry, and second languages (French, German, or Spanish)

Step 2: Attend Orientation!

Make sure to complete your remote orientation for your specific college. 

Make sure you sign on to your orientation session in a timely manner to avoid having to reschedule for a later session. Don't miss it!

Step 3: Join us for Kick Off 2020!

Are you planning to join us for MCAE Kick Off 2020? 

There's so much to navigate as you join the Univesity of Minnesota. For students of color, first-generation, and/or Native and Indigenous studetns, Kick Off is a space for you to meet current MCAE leaders and incoming peers to grapple with some of the anxieties many students are feeling as we begin the fall semester in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement, and all while facing the pressures of academic courses and transition to the University of Minnesota.
