MCAE hosts a variety of events, programs, and workshops throughout the academic year. Our events relate back to the Four Educational Support Priorities set for the office. The four priorities are as follows:
- Academic Support focuses on working with students to identify and attain their academic goals by creating a plan for them to be successful on-campus
- Self Efficacy is a students belief about their capability to organize and execute courses of action that produce their desired performances
- Navigating a Predominately White Institution (PWI) supports student in continuing to build their ability to be resilient
- Sense of Belonging refers to students’ psychological sense of connection to their campus community.
MCAE’s goal is to do our best to support students in learning a new skill, feeling connected, valued, and cared for at the University.
